California Privacy Rights

1. Intro
This California Privacy Rights page describes how MarionetteOps.com, also referred to as "MarionetteOps", "we", "us", or "our", handles personal information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and related California privacy laws.
This page should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and how we protect it.
MarionetteOps is a business and technical operations service. If you use MarionetteOps on behalf of an organization, some information may be processed in connection with that organization's account and instructions.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use MarionetteOps, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers, such as name, username, email address, account identifiers, IP addresses, session identifiers, API keys, and similar account or device identifiers.
- Customer records information, such as billing plan, invoice, transaction, tax, organization, and payment status information.
- Commercial information, such as subscription plan, billing history, account status, and service usage records.
- Internet or network activity information, such as login events, page views, API activity, request metadata, browser details, referral information, security signals, and analytics data.
- Geolocation information, such as approximate country or region inferred from IP address for security, fraud prevention, analytics, and account operations.
- Professional or employment-related information, such as organization membership, role, support context, and business contact details you provide.
- Inferences, such as account preferences, alerting preferences, dashboard settings, usage patterns, and registration attribution.
- Sensitive personal information where applicable, such as account login credentials, authentication data, security tokens, and precise contents of support messages or monitoring records you choose to submit.
We may also process private service data such as monitor names, hostnames, URLs, IP addresses, ports, SSL certificate details, cron endpoints, status page content, agent reports, system metrics, error messages, response times, status codes, thresholds, notification contacts, alert history, and incident records. Some of this data may be personal information when it identifies or can reasonably be linked to a person.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information for the business and operational purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including to provide MarionetteOps, maintain accounts, operate monitoring and alerting features, deliver reports and notifications, process billing, provide support, protect the service, investigate abuse or security events, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

5. California Privacy Rights

- Limit use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where that right applies.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable California privacy rights. For example, we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right, except where permitted by law or where the requested change affects our ability to provide the service.
6. How to Submit a Request
To submit a California privacy request, email support from the address associated with your MarionetteOps account and describe the right you want to exercise. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity, confirm account ownership, clarify the request, or protect other users' information.
You may authorize another person to submit a request for you. We may require proof of authorization and may still ask you to verify your identity directly where allowed by law.
We aim to respond to valid California privacy requests within the time required by applicable law. If a request is complex, numerous, or cannot be verified, we will respond as required by law and explain any available next steps.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide MarionetteOps, maintain security, operate backups, comply with legal and billing obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and support legitimate operational needs.
Different categories of data may have different retention periods. Account data, billing records, monitoring history, alert logs, reports, support records, activity logs, and security records may be retained for different periods based on service functionality, accounting, security, legal, and operational needs.
